We're having such a great time performing for the First Term Ball, we wanted to keep some of the fun going after it ends tomorrow. The band and I are a huge fan of song parodies, particularly ones that take muggle songs and give them a wizarding twist.
So we'd like to challenge you to take one of your favorite muggle songs and fit it to be part of the wizarding world. Kathlyn has one she's particularly fond of that comes from a muggle musical called... I think it's called Hairspray? Where instead of "Good morning, Baltimore", it's "Good morning, Voldemort"!
This writing challenge is a song parody challenge! Rewrite a song to fit a wizard theme and post it here. It can either be be something to do with Harry's time, our time here in the cult, or just wizarding in general.
Some rules for this challenge: 1.) Song parodies should at least include the chorus for the song. Full songs would be great, but only the chorus is necessary. 2.) Keep it PG13 please! 3.) Please list the name of the muggle version of the song as well as the artist/band that sings it so that we have something to reference it against.
Each member may only submit one song parody, and each song parody to successfully adhere to the rules will receive 20 House Points. Bonus points may be given to particularly clever entries!
This challenge will end on Monday, October 19th at 11:59PM!

The Closest to Voldemort I have ever been
